1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using SafeSpace, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. You must be at least 18 years old to use SafeSpace.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it. You agree to provide accurate, current information in your profile. Impersonating another person or creating a fake profile is strictly prohibited.

3. Community Guidelines

SafeSpace is built for authentic, respectful connection. You agree not to:

• Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Post hateful, discriminatory, or violent content
• Send unsolicited explicit or sexual content
• Spam, solicit, or promote commercial activity
• Share other users' private information without consent
• Use the app for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to circumvent safety features or moderation

4. Content You Create

You retain ownership of the content you post, including photos, Reality Cards, journal entries, and messages. By posting content on SafeSpace, you grant us a limited license to display it within the app to other users as intended by the feature (e.g., your profile is shown to potential matches). We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it outside the app.

5. Reality Cards

Reality Cards are a core feature designed for honest self-expression. You are encouraged to share authentically, but you are responsible for the content you post. Content that violates community guidelines will be removed.

6. Safety and Moderation

We use a combination of AI-assisted moderation and human review to enforce our guidelines. We reserve the right to remove content, suspend, or permanently ban accounts that violate these terms. All reports are reviewed within 24 hours.

7. Wellness Features

SafeSpace offers wellness tools including mood tracking, journaling, and affirmations. These are for personal well-being and self-reflection only. They are not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are in crisis, please use the emergency resources available in the app or contact a professional.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or our community guidelines. Upon termination, your right to use SafeSpace ceases immediately.

9. Limitation of Liability

SafeSpace is provided “as is.” While we work hard to create a safe environment, we cannot guarantee the behavior of other users. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app or interactions with other users. Please exercise caution and use the safety features available to you.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
